Reactor Start up guide
This guide is for Alpha 1 of Aroostook Research Facility
Here is the complete guide for starting up the core in both "manual" and "automatic" mode! New players are recommended to do automatic start ups, private servers are available for free to use.
System start up
Ensure bus 52, 53, 54, and 55 are all powered, then activate the "System Start up" on the "Main Core Control Panel"
Core start up
Before starting up the core, ensure bus 52, 53, 54, and 55 are all powered, make sure all stabilizers are not tripped and are functional. Go to the "Stabilizer Control Panel" and ensure the global set point is set to zero.
Automatic start up
To do an automatic core startup make sure the "Enable automatic core start up" button is disabled, then go to the. Finally press the core start up button on the "Main Core Control Panel".
Manual start up
A manual core start up is not recommended for new players
To do a manual core start up first make sure the "Enable automatic core start up" button is enabled.
- Navigate to the "Fan Control Panel"
- Turn on fan A and B, turn on global setpoint control and turn global setpoint dial to position '++'
- Navigate to the "Hydrogen Control Panel"
- Enable pumps A and B, Inlet A and B, Outlet A and B
- Turn on global setpoint and turn dial to '++'
- Open these valves
- Stab. Pump A Valve
- Stab. Pump B Valve
- Stab. Pump C Valve
- Stab. Pump D Valve
- Feedline A H. Valve
- Feedline B H. Valve
- Navigate to the "Nitrogen Control Panel"
- Enable pumps A and B, Inlet A and B, Outlet A and B
- Turn on global setpoint and turn global setpoint to '++'
- Open these valves
- Feedline A H. Valve
- Feedline B H. Valve
- Navigate to the "Stabilizer Coolant Panel"
- Turn on pumps A, B, C and D, Inlet A, B, C and D, Outlet A, B, C and D
- Do not enable global setpoint control, but do turn the global setpoint dial to '++' until it hits 69-70%, then turn dial to back to neutral
- Open these valves
- A1 Valve
- A2 Valve
- B1 Valve
- B2 Valve
- C1 Valve
- C2 Valve
- D1 Valve
- D2 Valve
- Navigate to the "Stabilizer Control Panel"
- Turn on stabilizers A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2
- Enable global setpoint, turn global setpoint dial to 8% do not exceed it until all stabilizer temperatures are above 355k
- Once all stabilizer temperatures are above 355k turn global setpoint dial to '++' until setpoint is at 100%
- Navigate to the "Main Core Control Panel" and press "Core Start up", then navigate back to the "Stabilizer Coolant Panel"
- When core formation happens and stabilizer temperatures begin to rise, enable the global setpoint button to ensure stabilizers cool
After this the core should be in a stable state, with the temperature rising slowly, if at any point the core fails to start, restart steps again from the start.
